Trash to Treasure Ministries, Inc. 501(c)(3) is dedicated to building a permanent physical home for the children of House of David Childcare Ministry in Kampala, Uganda. This registered Ugandan NGO Christian organization is a family/home-setting childcare that provides for the physical, intellectual, spiritual and emotional needs of orphans and children of single parents who struggle to provide for them. HOD houses on average 50 children. The Director and Founder of HOD, Moses Kisakye and his wife, Susan, are directors of House of David Ministries.
Work began on this project in 2019, after TTT President Valerie Richter and TTT VP Gary Richter, visited House of David Ministries during a 6-week mission trip. They saw firsthand the amazing positive work that God has done in this ministry. HOD cares for the WHOLE child in obedience to God's calling to raise educated, well-adjusted, caring and empowered children who will become generation changers in their communities. To date, work completed includes a smaller building/house for HOD staff, latrine, 1st level of the HOD childcare home. Remaining is the second floor, roof and kitchen completion.
